August Noir is a photographic series built around the tension between intimacy and observation. The photographs follow a woman in moments of apparent solitude, captured from a distance and without her awareness. Rather than presenting a traditional portrait, the series adopts the visual language of paparazzi photography: spontaneous, intrusive, fragmented, and voyeuristic.

Black and white strips summer down to its simplest forms: skin, water, rock, light. What remains is not a particular place or a particular day, but a feeling ; the weight of heat, the brightness of afternoon, the freedom of being nowhere else.
